Elbow pain is a common condition as the elbow joint is frequently used to allow the elbow to bend and straighten and the forearm to twist to allow the palm of the hand to face upwards and downwards.
Elbow pain can occur from:
- Strains
- Sprains
- Fractures
- Arthritis
Depending on their condition, each patient will exhibit different symptoms and experience different levels of pain. A patient may experience inflammation of the tendons inner side of forearm that controls wrist flexion or in the tendons on the outer side of forearm that controls wrist extension. Patients may also experience elbow pain accompanied by swelling, redness and restricted elbow range.
Depending on your type of injury, our physical therapist will evaluate you and plan personalized treatment to achieve goals.
